Hi mate just thought I have a beech but about that size thats spalting quite nicely will measure just to be sure

Well beech isn't macrocarpa or wellingtonia though is it?:biggrin:

We got some big macrocarpa butts they have been down about 10 years if interested?

We have two or three pieces of wellingtonia, 4-5 foot diameter and about 3.60 meters long, hardly any taper in them, was dismantled with a crane a year ago.

why can this not be milled? makes a great durable timber.
