  1. Evening everyone, We have a contract that requires us to travel to Swindon for a week commencing the 4th October. Am looking for somewhere secure (maybe someone’s yard) to park a truck, chipper cherrypicker and stay in our caravan just two of us. Happy to negotiate a fee. Thanks in advance

  7. Too bloody true Doobin! It’s too easy for people to do there tickets in a intense training program. Certificates are east to obtain. It is experience that is needed. I still believe you should do a minimum of 12 months with another company before you go at anything alone. In this game, no two days are ever the same so experience is more important than ever!!

  10. Couldn’t agree more steve. I personally think Yell are very overpriced for what you get, I hear they are hard to get away from once you have entered into contract with.

  12. Ok cool. So if you were being asked if you had taken all due diligence. What would you expect to have done. I.e risk assessment etc?....

  14. The landowner is saying that he holds “my friend” solely responsible for the work and not the company who contracted him to do the Works. Yet the company sent an email saying they had done relevant land ownership checks........
  15. Advice required... Your contracted by a large firm to facilitate a phone line, given a purchase order to go ahead with works. Usaul checks were made my end, Conservation, TPO etc. Works were completed but whilst still on site the land owner turns up and claims to not have been notified. Tree is on a hedge line bordered by open fields and woodland, not a residential property. Where do you stand as a contractor? Asking for a friend.....
