How do you find farmer trailer set up gdh, how does the crane handle?

Mixed feelings, a lot of good features and much cheaper than a farma but a few drawbacks.

The electric controls are really nice and being an 8.5m there's plenty of reach. In all honesty I don't think the build quality is the same as a farmi though (or at least our old one) - there's a lot of flex/bounce in the crane and chassis.

The extendable rear bolster is useful but realistically it's for long logs as you can't double stack anything over 10ft.

It's also surprisingly narrow, that's obviously good on smaller tractors but personally I would rather load wider than higher. Or both and get more on.

That's come across a bit negative, I would still recommend it as a decent mid range trailer, especially given some other makes are 45k plus for the equivalent which I couldn't justify.

Thanks for the brief re view
Seriously looking at a new trailer or maybe just a new crane the 360 is turning in to a bit of a nightmare ... trailer is great and perfect for what it’s used for mostly thinning it’s just let down by the crane ... replaced the PTO pump which I only put on in last September last night , started it up and it snapped the chain and has bent the valtras out shaft .. not happy back on the valmet at least the 4 m Douglas is a joy to process ! Apart from my sun shade shitting it self in the breeze the day should get should get better !IMG_1530870756.134567.jpgIMG_1530870781.887549.jpgIMG_1530870798.991036.jpg

Had a sycamore we felled and ringed up yesterday to split today. About 24” stem 15ft long - normally love splitting this but it’s horrible, gnarly and a pita. Wish I’d given it away to my normal connie log collector. Portek 7ton impact splitter can’t touch it so starting off some lumps with x27 before using alko 4 ton hydraulic. Some pieces will be sawn into cubes, some may just go on the bonfire as it’s too labour intensive to get decent sized logs out of it.
