Why does it need to be balanced out? Is it in danger of falling over? would it be better if the man had cut more branches off for the sake of aesthetics?

TBF it didnt require to be balanced out but if he did that it would have said to me he gave a toss about trees and his customers.

But yeah purely aesthetics

If it was local, an I was busy across the road, I'd of done it for a cup of tea...an a chat...

Put the work down in my Karma account....

Well said.... It really doesn't hurt to help an elderly person out.... By taking 5 minutes out of your day which is most likely already paid for you've saved the person trying to do the job themselves plus saved them ear ache from the awkward neighbour....

Come on lads if this was your mum/granny, etc you'd be glad there was a few gents left in the world.....

Do you not think that cutting less branches off causes less damage and is therefore better for the tree and thus means he actually gives a toss?

Try paying the mortgage from that account.....

if I was nearby, an the old dear looked concerned, I'd of done it for nowt but a brew. It wouldn't be the first time I've done a favour for someone..

A pair of loppers chop chop chop. done an dusted in five minutes flat..

and I'd of carried off any rubbish, an not left it for her to pick up..

Theres more to this life than getting money out of someone..

But, if I sensed the old girl was tryin to get a sneaky one in, get it done on my good nature, then I might of charged fifteen quid..

Oh, I don't have a mortgage so having her pay for that don't come into it LOL..

I can't believe some would do it for free, thats actually unfair to the client your working for imo, why charge one person and not the other? everything has a price.

£10 or £20 if its like a 5 minute job and your next door yeah I can go with that its a "token", but coming to quote and booking it in that has to warrent a more realistic charge.

I was chipping up one day and the neighbour asked if if could put some arrisings through my chipper, yeah sure it'll cost xxx, he looked surprised, why should he get my services free but not the person who has contracted me in?.
