Aerosols will cost you a fortune, never used the pump up thing.

If you got a aldi near you call in and have a look as mine had some decent size compressors for sale at around 70 quid and a full spray kit box of stuff for about 20. You won't need a huge compressor tank as your not after a spray shop finish so won't matter if pressure drops a bit or you have to stop every so often to let it build back up. Also very useful for other things round the workshop like cleaning saws etc

Look into Dinitrol over Waxoyl, I done all of the body on my 130 rebuild with it and wouldn't touch waxoyl again, 4 years on and the Dinitrol is still like it was when I put it on.

I put a first coat of cavity wax on and then put the black underbody wax over that.

Clean and properly dry prior to use , I swear by the stuff, a wholesaler we use were knocking it out in black for a tenner a gallon about five years ago so I got about twenty of them and use it on all the motors. The black one looks better on a chassis. You need to get the stuff as hot as possible prior to use and run it through a Schutz gun, when its hot, it then gets into everywhere and sticks properly.

I used the pump up spray but put it on a camping stove to get it really hot & thin (highly flammable too!). It doesn't dry completely hard but will creep into places a brush won't reach. As said, disposable overall & eye protection

I did my Ranger over August Bank Holiday weekend. Used a cup brush on angle grinder to clean the chassis of all flaky paint and rust. I had ordered products from a company called Bilt Hammer - primer is 90% zinc rich and the top coat is two pack epoxy black. All done on my drive way - pleased with the results.

Have just had to fit near rear springs as well!!
