Buyer protection with paypal. So they pay you then claim they never received the bike, open a case and more often than not paypal refunds them and debits you. You don't know who they are so they have your bike and money.

 

Yep that's that one. Or they hack someone's PayPal account and go on a spending spree

 

Happened to us a few times, we always lose out, sometimes a lot more than others.

 

You need to be very careful being paid by PayPal.

A friend of mine ran a shop on eBay and had some real tales of woe and crap to tell. He always sent by courier with signed for delivery but people still claimed not to have received items even when they had signed and they got their money back from Paypal and he had to prove they were lying.

Last month I parted 3 grand for a Landy that wasn't even for sale. I am 3000 light and Land Rover - less . It's a long story but was a combination of a Gumtree/paypal type scam and me being a moron
