Turning up to a job, and my apprentice/now second climber wanting to tackle the b1tch of a tree, and doing so in exactly the way I would do it.

 

And completing a horrible big takedown, felling the trunk with inches to spare, and the client giving each of us a nice tip and thanks at the end.

Takedowns, big take downs with no targets, where you can experiment with cuts, attempting to make massive sections go places where they aren't meant to. Anything else is just the same old tedious job these days

Probably the feeling when you get down after a lightish reduction on a big old oak or beech and you stand back, have a look and think

bugger, there is a bit I missed, happens all the time

 

Fixed that for me :laugh1::laugh1:
