I tripped on something and stumbled into the draw wood on a Log,puncturing the Lymph gland in my groin. It got infected,I went to the Hospital and due to my limited Norwegian skills at the time got sent to the STI clinic.

Sitting in the waiting room surrounded by people hiding behind Magazines and News papers was funny though.

sh*t how did you do that

Felling an Ash that had snapped out years earlier, the top third was laying on the remaining stem and a large Willow. The plan was to fell the stem, which would pull the top out of the Willow, sort of folding it down.

The problem was lack of space. The tree was on the edge of a steep river bank and there was a barbwire fence this side of the trees. I made the cut and stepped back as close to the fence as I could. It came down perfectly, BUT what I had failed to spot was the top was very bowed, so as the tip and base hit the ground the centre was still off the deck and flicked straight into my face, flooring me against the fence.

Happened at around 3PM, I had an overnight stay in hospital and brilliant surgeon cleaned and stitched it up at 9AM, I was back working by 2PM of the day after the accident :thumbup1:

And people knock the NHS :001_rolleyes:

The smack in the gonads is always a strange 1, normally happens when your somewhere you can't sware so end up laughing through the pain like when collecting my little lad from nursery he runs out all happy to see me and nuts me in the nuts, instantly floored infront of a room full of mothers with nothing to do but curl into a ball and laugh while tears filled my eyes.
