Large Elm Dismantle in Oslo

We were called to remove a large Elm in the city centre of Oslo last week.

The tree had lost a limb the week earlier and had written off a rather expensive Audi, totalled it..! :sneaky2:

The rear stem which failed was not looking the best and white rot at the failure point. We had rig the tree due to location and a crane was decided against due to the location, Tram lines, foot fall as it would have taken the space up needed for the trucks and chipper.

Timber was shifted with the Avant. We had a few gopro's on site and the boss had recently splashed out on a rather luxurious drone. So we snapped a bit of footage with that.

Another climber, Aaron climbed this one, myself and two others ran the ground. We managed to get some good footage.

Anyway, enough waffle.

Watch in HD and I hope you enjoy.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks Tom. Yes I ran the ropes at the start of the job then a one of the employees who is getting better with every trip I do out here, he did some of the brash. Aaron did a cracking job in the tree. I was on the hobbs for the timber and felled the stem over.

Haha, Adam, it was a good day and a great laugh. Always more fun with a bit of banter and p taking. That lump was proper heavy though. I cut out the footage of him blowing kisses at the drone and camping it up in the tree as the company are going to use the vid on the company pages. I really wanted to use the Benny Hill music when Tomas was in the Avant lifting timber, but again it might not of looked too good.

I also had to cut out the footage of Ian flying the drone into one of the ropes and ripping the propellors off. Haha, I have never seen him move so quick to catch it.

Arbormonkey, thanks for your comment.
