Take the tirfor along with you, some of the smaller ones look like they might rip right out if you're lucky and have a good anchor point.

Beat me to it. With the stumps so close to the fence you may be better off doing the lot with a mattock and Tirfor.

Not everyone's cup of tea but a short day would see that lot out and the site cleared up.

Quote for a long day of hard work though.

Dont thos fence panels just slide out?

If so and the neighbour/land owner the other side is OK with it you can do a better job.

watch out for the concrete below the fence posts, use a chainsaw to get the trunks as low as possible, explain that you will not remove the soil/sawdust, allow room and cost of disposal of trunks, add on machine hire and what you want for a days work.

It all depends on how much you want the work.

I would quote around £250 for that lot - round here I'd expect to get it for that.

I have my own machines so no hire cost, but I factor in maintenance and new teeth.

Thanks Guys for all the advice the 2K quote sound good :)

Been in touch with Orange plant in cannock about hiring a machine. The chap I new in Birmingham who used to hire out the smaller stump grinder has now sold his only machine - said it was more trouble that it was worth with all the sharpening and stuff.

Any other firms i can call about hiring a machine that you know off.

Also the fence panels are not as close as the photo seems to show, but I will be lifting them out anyway to be on the safe side.

Cheers Paul
