Help to quote for this job

That what I like in people too and I would be the same if I was subbing for people. The thing is I try to be fair with people working for me, job and knock, pints or bacon buttys and a bit extra if possible but I sometimes feel it's one way traffic.

 

Bacon buttie, beer when do I start!

 

To the op loading and unloading a trailer will take a long time, possibly adding a day to the job, might be cheaper in the long run (depending on how much your time is worth) to get a man with van and chipper in.

The sharp finishes more than make up for the late ones, though, as said.

 

I wouldn't pay extra for crap jobs, but I always split the tips.

 

A couple of years ago a barrister gave us a tip in a brown envelope, saying 'you guys have done a bloody good job, have a few drinks on me'.

We headed to a local pub where Peroni had just hit £5/pint.

 

Anyone guess the contents of the envelope?

The tip I have most appreciated was £1 from an old lady. From the chats during the job we'd realised she lived in the 70's where money was concerned, so in her head shed given us a bloody good amount of money. I dealt with her grandson for the job money, I think the old girl would have died if she had known the cost.

 

We enjoyed the bag of chips very very much.

Sad state of affairs if you are looking after your boys and they don't pay it back.

 

Never did get that way of thinking (didn't work hard cuz I didn't have to), even though I work for the local Authority.
