he wasn’t giving it 100%. I didn’t want all the grindings spread over the adjacent acre field so he was running it in 750 instead of 1000 speed and going steady

Yes!!! Video of it throwing the arisings into next week please - it certainly does a bit of ‘broadcasting‘ at the end of the oak clip!!!

Yes I do, I think Bob at Aspen ARB has one, used one around 2001 that was fitted with a big petrol V6, awesome power and incredible ability to make fuel disappear!

Impressive machine, but your technique is awful mate if i'm honest!

You are cutting across the grain constantly. you need to start at the front and grind below the root plate. Them advance forward and down, you are then cutting along the grain of the wood. Much more efficient and quicker!

it’s not me or my machine 

 

from the limited time i spent watching it work im not sure the technique you suggest is possible with that machine anyway? you need to reach over the stump and work back towards yourself.

my understanding is for the awhi grinder that is the suggested method of operation, rather than sweep across you lower the cutting head downwards in a series of bites/ grinds, although this operator uses both methods!
