Had a bloke hand me cash for a job and insist I count it, £50 too much which I handed back, he handed it back with a well done, you've passed the test. Has loades of work off him since.

Well done dean.

I must say I never end up counting the money when I'm given it! Not been shirt handed yet!

I always count the cash in front of the customer. One old neighbour put envelope through my door after a job with my name on but 200 short. Seems she had 5 people to pay, enveloped all the cash up then mixed the names up. Luckily the other fella hadn't been to do his job so it was easily sorted. Been working for her and the rest of the family for 14 years now
