Yes, but I think some of you may have missed the fact that that one has split in two, hence the initial question...

 

Granted this is not ideal but as pointed out if carefully put back and tightened up should be ok. I have never seen a fractured taperlock thats been reused fail. If there was a failure it would be because it was not seated properly so you would need your wits about you.

I have seated it correctly and I will only use it for a small job on Wednesday and then I will fit the new one, in the past I have always put a new one on. Cheers for the advice.

if youve seated it correcttly it wont go anyware,:001_smile: just leave it in place then change it next wk wen you do the bearings again :biggrin:
