  1. Weight of the flue should be discounted, its weight should be taken by wall or ceiling supports not the stove .
  2. The 15 mins was blocking the lengths in this pile of Ash
  3. Has anyone done a more accurate run time for a battery saw than the more commonly used measurement of "lasts for ages"... I don't know if they've been flagged before but Ive recently bought a Stihl smart connector which measures daily and accumulative runtime of battery or petrol machinery, the screenshot is off the monitor app showing my Msa200 with AP300 lasted 15 mins.
  4. Difference between first and replacement was chalk and cheese, so much compression now its virtually impossible to pull over without the decompressor button in.
  5. Ive responded to quite a lot of adds on MP I believe to be scams mostly asking when I can pick up. For the biggest percentage the reply says the item belongs to their father and gives an email to contact him which always starts with : henry***@
  6. Really need to know the boiler output and size the rads accordingly. I know from experience that non rising gravity pipework is a recipe for pain in the arris airlocks
  7. Ive already checked and the ring run extends well into the suspect area . Supplier has been sent photos and has dispatched another one....finger's crossed! I have my own 262xp to do next so will see what the replacement looks like before deciding what to get.
  8. You'd expect better for just shy of a ton with postage to add
  9. I was a bit concerned about honing it in case it didn’t all come out and then couldn’t return to, Ireland
  10. Anyone had issues with Hyway cylinder not honed full length of the barrel. Had this one delivered today, my eye was first taken by a mark the full length of the barrel and while running finger around to see if it could be felt , felt some roughness around the full circumference of the bore from about 5mm below the decompression port to the head that escaped honeing
  11. Thanks for the offer openspaceman ,as I am trotting towards 80 I dont do many these days but will keep it mind. Ive had a number of different models of Jotul with poor enamel but rather than wait for suitable colour doner have sandblasted back to bare cast and resprayed.
  12. Hi, I've got a 372 xp, not x-torq on the bench that was low on compression, muffler off and slight scoring of piston. Performed vac + pressure test which was ok so stripped down. Cylinder is good with what I think is the original piston but ring gap was 1.8mm which accounts for the low compression. I advised my Nephew to get a Golf piston but was proving elusive so he's brought a Hyway. I only ever rebuilt with pistons that have a single ring so asking if there are any issues with two ring pistons before I stick it in? Thanks
  13. Ah! Ok, thanks for clearing that up, I thought maybe you had a rogue 602 as all the early one ive reconditioned had the cast side plates. I cant say ive come across any early cast stoves that didnt or didnt that should have a linning of some sort
  14. Thanks for that, is it a decent saw generally ? Edit: Just been to see the saw and although the data plate on the handle says 362C, its an mtronic so left it where it was
  15. Old thread I know but did the ms362c have the same issues as the c-m. I have the chance of a little use c model from 2016 and wont bother travelling to view if it does
  16. I wouldnt hold your breath trying to get one, most of the google hits for stockists have stopped selling them and the major one never returns calls so Ive given up
  17. I know this is an old thread but did you purchase the Lohberger and if so how have you found it please? Im in the market for dry cooker to replace a Rayburn which is too slow to warm up
  18. With the lack of draw one can get with modern highly efficient stoves the issue can only be made worse by removing even more heat with that system
  19. Firebox on those is lined with secondary cast iron plates to reflect the heat
  20. Yes watt hours but the purpose of my post was to show how cheap it is to charge batteries giving real examples using what I have to hand I see in one post you referred to "rounding up" , probably done because the fully charged voltage of an 18 volt battery is 20 volts .
  21. If its if any interest, I did some tests on battery charge costs last year by plugging chargers into an energy monitor . Parkside 18v 4Ah...80watts , Makita 18v. 5Ah....100watts Waitley 18v. 8Ah....150watts So if we take makita 5Ah. it only costs 1/10th if the kWh unit rate which is around 4 pence. I have I have just ordered a Msa200 with Ap300 battery so when that arrives will update my post
