Try them bags they drop beer barrels on when unloading. A mates father in law who has alot to do with real ale has made his boss one. Its very tightly woven bag full of corks

used cow mats a few times..... they are 3 foot by 4 foot by inch thick rubber mats used in cow cubicles so any farm supplier would point you in the right direction....

they are good and strong and chainsaw friendly, and when not needed are great on the floor at work benches!

Have always through rubber horse matting would be good.

old 8ft x 4ft ply sheets - even double up with a bit of brushwood in between.

Also gives the customer the chance to make a witty comment about the big sandwich.

 

Not too heavy, and you can adjust the spring factor by adding brushwood.
