like and always had stihl,

(have been shown a Echo cs 360 no nothing about them??)

 

not a climber at all, so dont need top handle or the like.....

work is contract Hedgelayer , have used and still happy with my 230, got a 260 for spare in case of break down (looking to sell).

 

for hedging it dont have to be big but up to the job, will be worked hard.

Id get a 211 most likely, more puff than the 181, 3/8 picco micro mini chains stonger than the 150 in all areas i would have thought

I've got the top handle version makes me feel young again. Very Lightweight

MS181 is dirt cheap at £220 and much more power.

 

Depends how much you value the light weight. It'll be a big drop in power from your MS230

We've got 2 as well as 211 's and husqy 540 the 150 is excellent for pruning and very light gives a very fine cut .for dismantles etc we use the husqvarna bags of power and very fast cut.

Another vote for the 211, a 150 is going to struggle cutting along the grain.

They need opening up to get a bit more speed out of , I would not want to cut stuff bigger than 6-5" all day.

The plastics very brittle for the handle ,have replaced two now.. The last one broke drop starting!!

But it's extremely light weight.

I had my 150 TC-E for around 3 months now and after sorting out the oil flow (use the recommended Stihl oil) I use it quite a bit more than I thought I would. It appears to be reliable, always starts with ease. I don't climb but use it on the ground for long periods where it's lack of weight is really useful as my arms and back ain't what they used to be. If used within its capabilities it works well. It's not the most powerful saw in the world but if you want power then don't get the MS 150. It will cut 4-6", if needed, depending on the wood. There is a simple muffler mod which is mentioned in another post but this will invalidate the warranty however I've modded mine without any problems. It may or may not have some brittle plastics but I can't say I have had any breakages however I look after it - it's not cheap - and it's not been dropped. Overall I am more than happy with it for what I use it for.

Worst saw i've had but would still buy again it's about one kilo lighter than 200 t .

I'm onto my secound oil pump. Best one sofar went back to using oregon Bio chain oil.

The stihl stuff was like water. Plus i don't know whats in it.
