Sadly the goblins that helped themselves to some of my stack of best quality cordwood left no such letter. They opened a farm gate, drove 1/2 a mile up a dead end roadway, and grappled or hiabed it on to something big.

If I had court them up there, severe internal injuries would have been measured out.

As it is, they may return at any time.

Sounds like you could use a couple of Trail cams, Tim.

What intrigues me is you say you couldn't get them to buy from you yet the the cars there driving tell me different and your actually going to loose custom?

I don't think Bob sells logs (at least not to the public) and from what I've seen of the work he does, standing there collecting the odd 10 or 20 isn't really worth the hassle or man hours.

Log Goblins exist because they soon realise that after paying a fortune to have the Stove fitted and the chimney flue lined they soon realise that buying logs wood is a expensive way of Heating regardless after what car they drive . Most folk are obsessed with the cutting of the wood and back to basics lol .

I did a job many years ago and I had a bulk bag of dead torpedo size logs left over after finishing and I would have to return to pick them up, the next door neighbour asked if she could have them and I said yes £25 for me time cutting them up, I ended up down to a Fiver and still she refused to pay knowing that I had to come back !! That bag of logs I winched up to the top of my LDV tipper determined not to let her have them lol

I did try selling logs Mick but we were far to disorganised and unreliable, we had a huge pile in the yard that were not sorted and when delivering which was sometimes not even in the same month of the order we would get the " they are too big, too small , too wet or too dirty" crap from the customers. Then tried nets at the gate which sold very well , my kids though it was a great idea collecting the cash :lollypop: so I gave up and now just sell the timber on.
