I would say it's 60/40 to the 395! Would love a 3120 but it sounds like it may be too big for everyday work and is too big an invesment to be sat in the shed for months on end, whilst the 395 would be a

I've a 390 on a 28 and it did fine on most of this one

But sometimes wish I'd saved a bit more for the 395 to get a bit more bar length

id get the 395, I have one and only very occasionaly wish I had a 3120, 395 gets used all the time whereas I can just see a 3120 sitting in the shed waiting for its 'time'.

Once your 395 is out of warranty get spud to open it up port it advance timing ect and it will be the only saw you need.

I ran mine side by side ringing up big hardwood butts against a 880 on a 36" the other week and the 395 performed noticeably better.
