I find the whole thread fascinating and inspirational! Got a blank week week after next, going to spend a week milling, got the Alaskan ready, got a new granberg vertical mini mill, got a box full of new chains today (thank you Rob!), can't wait !

Good stuff!

Those B&Q legs look good Ian - may get a few of them. Def a quick way of doing things.

Got some of those legs coming this week for an elm burr coffee table, will post up my thoughts when they eventually get here

Hairpin legs turned up at last, chosen and supplied by customer.

As Rob said, easy and quick way of putting legs on a coffee table and in this case the customer wanted unobtrusive legs so as not to take away from the burr top.

Really quite pleased with how this table has turned out, finished with osmo top oil.

Measures 30" x 12", and 13" high.

Its going in a newly rebuilt one bedroom cottage which will be a holiday let, will see if I can get some photos of it in place.

Minimalistic rustic chunky is what I was asked for and I hope I delivered.

Oak and stainless m20 threaded bar and nuts, simple.

Cool, Many of my students made similar!

Looks good, but to my eye, {& anyone who bends over it!} cut to length so tip is in the nut holding the top board is both more aesthetic & safer. :sneaky2:

But others mileage may vary!

Cracking, I like it and the idea has solved a problem I have for a corner shelving unit at home. I've got some Mont Pine with pretty close to a 90 degree turn in it. I've been wondering how to put it to good use within my limited ability!

For mine, when it comes, I'll keep the bar recessed in a drilled / plugged hole on the top shelf though - like that idea.
