Your thumb wraps around the front handle and doesn't run parallel with it. When it goes flying out of your hand and hits you/someone else or something expensive you WILL regret it.

Don't leave stubs when dressing out trees.

Always think ahead how does your current action fits into the bigger picture. eg don't stack timber 7m away from the rack on a site that has a 6m forwarder crane on it.

- Less haste, more speed! (dont rush, work with purpose)

- Be aware of tunnel vision: keep checking the climber, the ropes, what needs snedding, what else can be done. Don't just blindly drag for an hour and allow other issues to develop.

don't whistle cheesy pop songs - its infectious

:lol::lol:

The radio in our truck is broken at the moment so we have definately broken this rule a fair amount recently! I see it as educating my mates about Megadeth and the metal scene in general, time to whistle some of Mustaine's classics! :001_tongue: Should hopefully get rid of Christina Agremalarraraas "you are beautiful" song from our heads.... :sneaky2::blushing:

Megadave?! Metallica, rammstein or machine head is a much better education!

On the advisory note, saw maintenance is paramount! Break a saw using it, or not maintaining it, you WILL be demoted to silky bitch!

if you smoke wait till the job is done before lighting up and don't smoke in the work van.

From the .gov site

"Businesses must:

make sure people don’t smoke in enclosed work premises or shared vehicles

display ‘no smoking’ signs in all workplaces and vehicles - in Wales they must be bilingual signs

Fines and penalties

Businesses can be fined up to £2,500 if they don’t stop people smoking in the workplace or up to £1,000 if they don’t display ‘no smoking’ signs.

In Scotland, there is a fixed penalty fine of £200. If fine is not paid, it goes up to £2,500."
