It's one I have to keep reminding myself of too. If I get fed up with a job it has a knock on effect for the other lads on the team.

Good to meet you too mate, gutted I couldn't spend the weekend down there, but my missus and I picked up the keys to our new place today.

I don't think I'd have been able to make up for missing that.

Even though I believe we have exceeded initial 10, a wee note to new groundsmen: The term "groundsman" does NOT mean that you look at the ground you stand on, look at the climber and at what and where he/she is cutting!

It makes the climber a much happier person when he doesn't have to constantly look after the groundsman....

If you drop something out of the tree, (unintentionally), ask yourself why. Also, think of the consequences if....

A branch or a chog smashing a greenhouse, fence or bouncing across the tarmacadam might cost the company a bit. If it hits someone, it'll cost a bit more.

Concentrate and be aware.

when on the ground try and be constantly busy , even if theres not much happening, always try and tidy, pack up gear, get out gear ready, talk to client etc, every little helps to get done and home
