If it's chalara expect to see the dieback travel from the tips down the rachis of the leaflet spreading into the whole leaf from there.

A date of the pic would be good also - Chalara is hard to diagnose in early autumn K

I have noticed a very late leafing and significant poor health in my local ashes this spring, it does not look good at all

Hi Tony,

I've never know the Ash trees to be as far behind all the other species coming into leaf as they are this year. I was only saying earlier to someone I wondered if there's something going on that we haven't realised yet ?

I think for the last two years the Ash trees have not been looking great around Hertfordshire.

we've got quite a few really poor looking ash around our area as well.

As others have said,they were very late coming into leaf in this area too,and still not fully in leaf.

All seemed healthy up until autumn.

Pic taken 4 days ago I'm going to go back and see what the score is in a few weeks.
