in my experience NFU do pay but no where near the insured amount, the loss adjuster just makes up a figure and that's it. I've pulled all my insurances off them

But you don't have to except what they offer, I have yet to have a claim with anyone where their first offer was anywhere near it's proper value.

Wouldn't touch the NFU with a barge pole - because I don't believe it's where we need to be heading; in terms of local food production and destruction of wildlife. They pally up to multinationals & dodgy politics.

used to be with the nfu for all my insurances, but for some reason there vehicle and equipment policys stopped being competitive, there property one is still one of the best, especially for anything with outbuildings and valuables not in the main structure, as for payouts, depends on who your local broker is, as it can vary from one to the other, shop around among them, you'll be surprised at the variation on cost for the same cover

Arbor plan paid me in full and there policy is new for old also there was no problem that I had lost a few receipts, only down fall was it took over a month to get the full payment.

no problem with rural made a claim for septic tank loss adjuster cme out gave him figure no prob paid out. better than NFU never use them again total nightmare to deal with
