Relief millking 300 cows most weekends and two weeks over christmas :thumbup1:

was a farm manager on a 350 cow dairy for 10 years (till last November) said I would never go near a cow again the owner was a D&*k then got offered a job relief milking on a very laid back 180cow organic farm. on a cheese contract, once a day milking, all cows dried off over minter, very easy work and the owner is good as gold! so different from the last farm

Not now - but a few years back I was teaching database technology at the local college 1 day a week and running my own swimming lessons 3 nights a week.

Just got too knackered with the swimming classes, then the UK industries merged, cut back, offshored etc. and there were not enough old style jobs to justify teaching mainframe technology to the youngsters.

Shame really - well paid and a lot easier physically.

I set them a project to design a web site and database for a hypothetical tree surgery company. No conflict of interests there then???

Now I'm older and knackereder (is that a word) I just do trees. Hmmmmm

Rather be my own boss any day.

I'm an Arborist for 50 hrs a week.

Then I have a part time job cutting trees. I do about another 40 at this job.

I also do clerical work for 5 or 6 hrs a week, plant / truck repairs another 5 or 6,

At the moment my most important job, dad / father is suffering, need to get sorted after Christmas.
