I think we think we have got to know Connor through reading this thread in the past and seeing him progress with the bang tidy team, I don't think anyone has been debating him in a bad way just discussing what we have read on here. Surely if something is put on a forum its open for discusion? I think Chris has been hurt by this and has aired his feelings as maybe he has nobody to talk to at home. I thought we were a community that help each other?

Thats just how I think, we've seen Conner coming on soo well and really enjoying his work, and he's in a team he's cared for and who look out for him. We just dont want to see him loose that and end up as a brash dragger, we're just looking out for him making sure he knows what he's really doing. We know he can read these posts so its just to make him really think what he's leaving. No disrespect to you Conner we wish you all the best in the future. :)

I have always said how lucky your lads are to have an apprenticeship with you, shame he can't stick it out until he is driving. Perhaps if he were a little older and a lot wiser he wouldn't see the travel as an issue. Your correct in what you say no other firm will give him the opportunity that you have, brush dragging it is on Monday then. Wake up Connor.

I can understand your frustration at losing a good lad Chris - they are hard to come by and you have obviously invested in him which is great. Hopefully you'll find another good guy to fill his place.

However, in my opinion, discussing his decision to leave on the forum seems a bit unfair on him. Clearly some people think he has made a mistake - but it is his decision and may be based on private issues that he doesn't want to discuss with an online community.

Posting pictures and updates of your company's work is all good but this isn't the place to post about relationships or staffing issues.

I wish Chris all the best. He seems a good bloke who just wants his lads to work hard, and enjoy themselves.

On the subject of the young lad:

Regardless of whether you think he is wrong or right, I don't think it is fair to question his motives on a public forum.

Connor joined Arbtalk last September.

In all that time he has made a grand total of 5 posts.

He doesn't exactly seem to court publicity does he?

If you want to make a point to Connor, PM him.

If you want to make a point to Chris, PM him.

If you want to preach to the world about your opinions on Connor or Chis, maybe you should keep them to yourself.

I don't think the lad should feel pressured into 'explaining' himself on here - that IMO is one step short of internet bullying, and there have been some well publicised cases recently of how badly that can end up.
