Worst one to get done for is insecure load that gets you points and more! ol is often just a fine if not too bad but head to extremes like plus 50% plus then can be problems most get done for Axle OL than total got tugged once in Lorry was over on front axle but got away with it as coming off the junction they pulled onto weighbridge and had come a few junctions and was tipping not delivering not far on i'd just dropped a load over rear end so brought weight forward as i'd been ok before on axle and gross.

Most Tree types VOSA won't really bother as whats classed as own account transport most won't have an operators licence anyway but put a Green General Haulage one in screen then your fare game as that's a full one and Hire and Reward.

Own account ie Waitrose/Tesco etc are own trucks so run a restricted Operator Licence

I got done by vosa about 10 years ago for being over on 1 axle on an artic, literally just left farm 500 yards away with 28 ton of osr so well under on gross but 180 kg over on 1 axle, if I'd jabbed brakes at farm gate would have been fine.

Twats still did me for best part of 100 quid!

Using the weight in the load tae keep trailer eye over the towball there eh? Lol watch fur the bounce and loosing the trailer
Thanks, it's ok once you're aware of it, towing eye fits below the ball so as long as theres a bit of pull or push it wont come off too easy.
Wouldn't chance bringing it on the road though!

Wouldn’t say to overloaded but was certainly top heavy ! And was good fun trying to get it on there ! You do seem to hold that steering wheel that bit tighter !!

I will admit, i did not have it on a scale. But, the trailer can load 1620 kgs as is. I´ve had a 1700 kilo MEWP on it, and now i loaded it up with a bunch of freshly cut Oak. It felt about the same as the lift, so I suppose we were at the limit :P
The Transit needed some good gearbox work to haul it up our hills - and she´s the 155 bhp motor ?
