They shouldn't weigh that much if it's nice and dry. Can flip them over on the deck. 
Lad round here drives with them barely strapped. 

Often  see them on the verge waiting for him to return.
How he hasn't done anyone in is beyond me.

the trailer illegal as well unless the law has been changed as its classed as 2 trailers ok to pull empty but not loaded

Behind a tractor today, piled pretty height and catching on loads of branches, inches away from some by lines at one point. Not strapped down at all. I expect those things weight a bit and weren’t likely to go anywhere. Pretty sure he’d have been stopped though!

Tell that to my aunt whose car got written off by a bale landing on it about four weeks ago… fortunately it landed just behind the driver’s seat and there was no-one else in the car, six foot further forwards and it would have hit the windscreen.

Car was structurally not too bad but it has bowed the roof and as it was 11 years old, not going to be economic to repair.
