excuse me while i bust my gut laughing at that one.

 

I just tell them - "feel free to put it back together, all the bits are in the back of the truck... I just hope your bloody good at jigsaws!"

You have to ask if there's a cafe handy and they say yes it's a couple of miles back that way instead of offering to put the kettle on. :D

Can I put this in your mincer... Pointing to a pile of roots ,brambles,dead weeds and bricks.

 

I used to do a bit of tree work.

 

Can I have the logs ? Then tapping you on the shoulder continuously whilst your chipping up with a pair of loppers trying to cut every thing off down to 1cm twigs because you only cut the down the brash to 3" logs..., actually none of mine are funny just tragic.

Whilst hedge cutting a stretch of trailway and old dear (70 +) tapped me on the sghould and asked if i wouldnt mine trimming her extremely matted, overgrown bush for her husband. How i kept it together i don't no but i was laugh about it for weeks afterward.

When working for city council, 4 giant, 250 year old oaks, an old chap from one of the houses: "ah finally, you taking them down?" "No sorry, just a bit of trimming and deadwood". "Ach, just drop them, no-one will notice"......
