Sounds nasty, since getting the plastic visor for my stein helmet I rarely get stuff in my eyes, specially that annoying fine dust when chogging down or cutting gobs in the tree that penetrates mesh visits like they aren't even there! I would never go back to using mesh now.

Hope your eye sorts itself out.

I've noticed more need for safety glasses recently since I got a vertex vent ( old style ) with husky visor. Seem to get more bits hitting my face compared to my old husky lid

Cheers for your input boys. Just been to see eye specialist, all healing up well still incredibly painful on constant drips. Back to hospital Monday to see contact lens specialist as I need to wear one for next month or two. Play safe guys I'm incredibly skint, wish I took out insurance .

Ouch mate, feel your pain. Hope you heal fast with no long term ill effects.

I second the "I wish I had taken out insurance" thought. I'm 5 weeks into recovery from a climbing accident, still practically housebound, had to resort to claiming benefits to survive and still months away from being able to return back to work.

So another good heads up for all the boys and girls out there, to take care and if you are working for yourself seriously consider getting yourself some good personal accident cover. You never know when you're gonna need until you need it! And if you think you can't afford, ask yourself can you afford to live without it when your unlucky enough to have it all go Pete Tong!?!
