I use dyneema on my van winch but if it comes in contact/rubs with anything apart from the proper fairlead which is polished and has no rollers on like the steel use it will Burr easily when under load hence the break .

1.5m reduction on this holm oak today. Was a bit of a lopsided tree particularly when looking from one direction. Was pretty happy how it came out all things considered. Used srt for this and actually found it quite beneficial
