Not the best photos ever by my phone, but nonetheless here is some new leaves on a windblown OAK I was clearing today.

Something I have never seen, an Oak going in February!!

Anyone else seeing early trees?

Yes: of the dozens of veteran woodland oaks we've worked on recently near Epsom two were halfway to being in full leaf, all bright green and fresh. Just the two, not near each other and each surrounded by numerous leafless oaks.

You can't beat a crane fed chipper John.

its amazingly productive, your talking about 3 mins for a 35ft tall birch from start to finish including felling. alot of the time you dont need to sned as you just crush with the grab. I wanted to get the 12" heizohack originally but couldnt afford it at the time so jumped at the Jensen when I found it. Its pretty awkward to feed small stuff as its mostly guess work because the field of view is so crap close in, I imagine the heizohack being side feed makes it slightly easier?
