the 'todays job' thread

Today's job was reducing this 112ft black poplar down to 90ft after a "tree surgeon" reduced it and thinned it. Which translates as knocked the top out a lions tailed a lot of the limbs.

Adam Bourne made short work of it having it completed in 6hrs and we couldn't of asked for a much nicer day/area. Cake and deli seconds away on foot, lovely weather and a great crew in.

Adam is that good, i dint need to send the second climber up. Which freed me up to do a quick call out.

Cheers david. A real landmark tree as its at the pinch point of three junctions.

The credit has to go to adam, we had a second climber on site but didnt need him to climb.

leggy, huge timber, poor previous work, no central leader so anchor point was horizontal to most limb walks, injury riddled climber. one of the worst of done in a few years. But still enjoy every dam minute of it :) pleasure to work on such a beast.

Thanks everyone :)

Ivy choked ash, going to see how it does this summer (customer said it didn't look too good last year) and it may get a light reduction as it's over three boundaries, by the railway line, over 2 sheds with a summer house goin up directly beneath it. Orrible to do but satisfying pulling big slabs of ivy off main trunk!😄ImageUploadedByArbtalk1427142360.800414.jpg.45f684948c57ab0a3edb7ce31035a6ea.jpg
