Mature/large sweet chestnut reduction. By the time we had removed the dead limbs and decayed stuff there wasn't a massive amount to work with but the client was happy as they want to preserve the tree rather than fell. Probably about 20% off in total after all of the decayed and dead was taken out. Not the finest reduction ever but ticks the boxes

Started this job today near Dartmouth, 3 fair sized Monterey pines. Got the brash of the first one by lunch and got a good amount of the second one by finish. They are at the top if a bank above a house so nothing can be bashed down in case it rolls down

Very true but I think the chipper will be going onto the valmet and getting crane fed :thumbup: there has to be in the region of 120-150 tons of tree on the deck now lol:lol:

Nice bit of weekend site clearance with kernow stu and combined tree services Dave, smashed the leyllandi today, and Dave s now got a fun few days chipping it! Hang on you can only see one and the other one is being stumped in the picture. (by the way it wasnt me felling) 😊

 

Stumping=wasted wood thus was felled too high in the first place.
