I thought you were low impact Big J?? That's the kind of mess I usually make 😆

You can keep that rain though! Cold and dry up here

That's usually the plan, but we had just over 5 inches of rain in 13 days at the end of last month. There was fairly widespread flooding in our river valley. With the clay holding the water like a lined pond, there's just nothing you can do but make a mess.

I took the view that the ruts I've created are going to be tidied up as that section of the woodland is getting a couple of large ponds and a drainage ditch. The back section of the woodland is much drier and I've barely marked the ground there at all.

After October, you really want to be up on Exmoor or Dartmoor away from the clay, but unfortunately, it rarely works out like that.

Moved out of the woods and onto a SSSI, to reduce the levels of Willow. Everything to stay onsite in habitat piles.

Looks good! Have you done owt to site to finish it off as ground looks good?

Just run over it with machine? Or just how it is when left?

I've often  looked into how I can leave a site looking good but it comes down to omlet and eggs

The open areas have had a robo flail run over and collect the brambles,  but other than that we haven't done anything to hide where we have been. Sometimes i think less is more,  like plastering, the more you fiddle with it the worse it looks.
