Erik your pictures  and vids are always interesting, your work is in a different league. What are the circumstances of this series of photos (looks like it it was quite tragic) thanks

Burnt timber from one of the large complex Fires this summer. Falling burnt timber is dirty/dangerous, and the trees are much more prone to breakage when hitting the ground. We are doing our best to save as much wood as possible, and much of the timber is still quite nice.

Finished the 28 plane pollards now the ground has dried out.

Punishing for the old sciatica bob bobbing for skinny sticks all day.

Climber would prefer half rather than full days but after he had his afternoon line of coke he was buzzing and those whippy sticks rained down.

Little Field Maple reduction reduction that was on the wonk over the guys new office. Top was dying back so had to work with some sound timber. The drag looks like a pita


The banks at the back were savage for the groundies, had three on the deck for this one and was about a further 65m to the chippper at the front down a narrow access. Plenty of targets for me to avoid like air con units, irrigation systems and ground lighting but I’d rather be up there than on that drag!
