No talking behind bosses back.

I realised today it gives me a chance to shout abuse more effectively in the ear of my nephew over the sound of machinery, so that’s a plus.

No mate, lost Dutchie the year before last.

That’s Nellie, who Dutchie did get to meet for a few months.

Black lab is Polly who is only 1.

Cocker is Hooper, Danny Mac’s dog.

To say they had an enjoyable day would be an understatement!

Yeah, they let you down all the time.

(Don’t ask why I keep pictures of my dog trying to have Ugandan affairs with an unsuspecting Border Collie on my iPad)

Absolute pain in the arse job taking down this partially uprooted tpo’d Sweet Chestnut on a bank, had taken a battering in the recent winds and the bank was like mush. Had to lower everything off of the adjacent tree to stop things getting a roll on down the bank into the garden/house. Couldn’t really IMG_3883.jpgIMG_3884.jpgIMG_3893.jpgIMG_3895.jpgIMG_3886.jpgIMG_3887.jpgremove anything off of the tree with the rigging system in so everything that could hang up did and was a pain for the groundie on the bank. Still at least it wasn’t raining for once!

 Nice work Jay.

Is Andrew still working there?

Cheers, yeah mate he’s still here. Think he’s done about eight years at SL now, like part of the furniture!

Various planting for a regular client over the last three days including this new field hedge. Native mix of field maple , beech , hawthorn and hornbeam planted in a alternating pattern that repeats every 4 metres. Plants mostly at 2 - 2.5 metres tall.
So nice to be planting a nice hedgerow instead of the usual conifers and laurels etc.
Didn’t escape that completely though. Had some sizeable laurels to plant elsewhere on the property. Messy field is the dig out from the new swimming pool that’s nearly done.
