looks like the top would have smashed up retained trees

Yeah and there was lean towards a new office addition to a 1700s water mill.

It was on the deck by midday.

Out with the log bullet again. By God it was a hot day!

I hasten to add that I had nothing to do with the cutting or presentation of this timber!!! A very trying day- lorry should start shifting that pile Monday and I can get the other half done. &nbsp

Todays job, complete disassembly of an old pioneer p25, inspect, decide it can be brought back to life, and rebuild, waiting for the delivery of piston, rings, and barrel, and hopefully it can resume duty in the ever increasing armory.

Had an ash to try and extract from a river (quite deep)

Winched it out in bits, but couldn’t raise the last 4/5 metres from the root in the bank.
Too deep in the water to put the saw in.
It was a scenario that I had envisaged, so a deal was struck on the price.
I retired semi defeated.

Go on. Post the videos (of course there are videos) to really take your licks. It'll be good for the superego.

Found this today, never seen anything like it, Ash root found its way into a natural spring.  It’ll be interesting to see how far they go down that pipe when I go remove it.

Wouldn’t a big winch rag the lot out? Or a 13 tonne plus excavator?
