I see. Cheating a bit I reckon:001_smile:

I dont think a saw would last long in that lot Mick, most of the trees have wire nailed to them and steel pegs growing into some . Its an old disused allotment full of crap.

Something different. Abseiling in to The Grotto at Rangipo-Hautu Prison for Department of Conservation. At the lip of the waterfall is a sunken log, jammed between the rock faces. This was preventing trout from reaching spawning grounds further up steam. My job; stand waste deep in mountain run off water and try and free the log. It was also persisting down. So, two flooded saws and one very wet me later, no joy. I did manage to cut the log through but it was too deep and too well packed to get out.

Little Eucalyptus removal, the guys did a great job, had to rig down most of the canopy to save the shrubs at the front. Had a big first day and managed to get done ringing up the trunk around 1pm the second day. Don't often work a 3 man crew so was a rare opportunity to get some photos.

One from today. A heavy side reduction that we were contracted to reduce because of overhang on 4 properties. We had to use a mixture of reduction and pollards to start the rebuild of the side crown. Sadly the owner of the tree wouldn't let us do anything other than reduce it back. Oh and a couple of dead elms on the way out.
