Big beech dismantle today, deceptively big tree with so much timber in it.

Back tomorrow to section the trunk.

About 11m3 of chip out of it and left a lot of smaller branchwood that normally we'd have fired through as that's all stopping.

 

 

Sweet pics Gray Git, looks like a lot of wood. Did you get all the brash off and processed in a day? Impressive if so. How many men did you have on it? Did you have to take all the chip away?

From full tree to last picture between 9 this morning and 4.30 tonight for 3 of us on site, all chip removed, rb44 and ifor trailer behind landy sharing the load having my own cherrypicker helps like! Will stick on some pictures of the timber stacks and trunk tomorrow when it's down.

Got finished today on the big beech, stripped a bit more timber off then felled the poles then the joy of ringing up everything over 18" but at least I managed to come up with a way to avoid flushing the stump of.

Saw in pictures is my 088 with 30"bar for scale.
