We used to play a game on the stand and guess what category someone would fall into before you started to speak to them (when you'd already been on site three days before the show even started, you'd need something to cheer you up ) - Landowner, Agent, Forestry, Tree Surgeon, Firewood, Domestic or Student

 

Surprising how easy a game it was

Don't see anything wrong with the boots as we're used to wearing them all day and they are often the ideal choice for the apf or they were the last time it was at Ragley.

When I was at jonsies show a was in jeans and t shirt, with boots on. I felt underdressed as everyone seemed to be in ballistics and jackets.

WTF! Why would you travel in your ballistics to walk around a show in them; seems an arb speciality. Yeah nothing like wearing them in the truck for 100's of miles. Or perhaps you secretly change into them when you get there, after all you look so utterly cool in them yeah ?

 

 

It's bad but not quite as serious as the fella I saw at college with his harness on in the canteen

haha. Years ago we had a young lad come in for a few days work. On the last day he kept his harness on when he got down the tree and for the full 45 minute journey back to the yard. We later realized he couldnt get it undone. Maybe the same guy

It goes on in most thing to be honest, one of the worst thing i saw was a few years back when i went to the NEC bike show, i always went in ther car because it was cold and if you got carried away with the card you couldn't get it back anyway one year i pulled up in the car park and about 4 cars down 3 guys got out of a car and continued to get changed INTO there bike gear, leathers, boots, helmet and Gloves!!!!!! all too walk round a bike show.
