Lets not start the Brit/Yank conversation again... Looks to me like they got the job done without breaking anything, even rigging out some nice big leads. Get the job done and go home in one piece. Peace.

Dont forget, WE DONT HAVE TO WEAR PPPE HERE! Anyway, that method he used was just belaying, happens in rock climbing all the time. He managed to get his rop up somehow :D

That was pretty much my thinking too. It wasn't very slick and I cringed a few times but on the whole it looked like it was coming down fairly qucik and without drama.

If anything the guy on the ground looked like he might have been trying to play for the camera a bit.

I agree with this. This isn't really the place to start commenting on factors that apply to us but not to them. As Ben and Chris have put, they got the job done and thats that. To call them a Cowboy Outfit is a bit on the harsh side IMO:001_smile:

Can't see a problem personally.Their lack of PPE as we call it,is common in the States.

He looks self taught,as most of us were a few years ago.Fair play to the men.

SOP for many tree firms over here. Sure enough the safety gear would have been a really good idea. Some firms over here are better trained and supplied with PPE, however the job was done with no apparant damage to building or limb, Human limb that is.

Looks an experienced climber to me, certainly not "cowboy", just stateside.

What i really do want to see on u-tube is someone handing that guy some chainsaw trousers and telling him he needs to go on a training course.
