Unusual freebies from customers

ahhh i think the best gift i have received from a customer has to be the old crosscut saw , it was that rusty that when we picked it up it fell to pieces ! never the less its the thought that counts

I got a massive teddy for my son from a customer as well which was good. No hand jobs sorry hodge.

I got two pumpkins the other day when we dropped some chip of at an allotment!

a woman we used to give some logs to from time to time made us cakes and sausage rolls mind you the logs finaly killed the rear end of her car but she was still happy to see us next time we were in the area

Yeeesh you fellas don't know how lucky you are. Despite kiwis being some of the most accommodating and friendly people I know I very rarely get anything. In fact, a cup of tea on the job is usually quite difficult to get. Some of the farming community are good and provide lunch etc and I've had the odd pot if jam but nothing like it was back in the UK. We got regular tips on the job. So really, nothing in the least bit strange has yet been gifted.

That is bizarre, do you think the attitude to L.A and those working in behalf of is same in NZ as UK i.e we the tax payer pay your wages you don't deserve anymore.

 

When I've been in NZ. Have our Bach(2nd home for holidays, often a rickety old shed) for a week, take this, take that.
