Go with an indespension then, western towing do good deals. My 10x5 indy tipper (2008) is unbreakable; it is unbelievably strong and well made. Over-engineering in the extreme. Bit heavy too!

indespension tail gates dont go flat with the bed when tipping and un latching from the top ,I had an 8x5 broke the lights twice then re mounted the lights under the tipping bed so they tippeed with the body

like mine and only snapped one spring hanger from jack-knifing into drive fully loaded.

 

Nice job on that.

 

How did you attach the aluminium plate to the original steel surround?

Yeah i think so, there was 1 at the game fair at norfolk & norwich show ground. The guy said it were £4500 compared to £3800 for the old model

Hi Johnathen,

those thingys you put in the drill bit and straight in.

 

reckon its added a little to the tare weight, minus the mesh plus the box frame.

I think I know what you mean. They are like a self tapping screw.

 

Do you find the aluminium plate bows out or gets dented if you load it with logs?
