What was your first chain saw

A little Makita DCS 340 I think. Great little saw for hedge laying, my neighbor bought it off us and it still running to this day.

I had a second hand Stihl 020av. Blinding little saw with plenty of grunt...until you got it wet, then it conked out for the day!

Mine was the good old reliable Stihl 024WB, the WB meaning wood boss. It's 21 yes old, used it yesterday and started on the third pull. If only they made saws like they used to!

I've still got most of it knocking about in a box with loads of other 'old spares', 'just in case' :001_rolleyes:and I'm sure the cylinder is still a goodun!:

A pre-owned Danarm DDA110 - weighed a ton, had no chain brake, no anti-vibe, none of the stuff we take for granted these days.

 

I think I still have it somewhere and even though it hasn't been started for probably 25 years it is/was in reasonable condition, so if there is a bona fide collector of vintage saws on here who would like it and can collect from the Poole area, send me a PM. It makes no sense to keep it, but I probably couldn't bring myself to throw it out.

First saw is a Stihl 026, got it in 1990 from Broadleaf Browns

 

Still runs a treat.
