Was that a ghost?

Does this happen to anyone else? Whenever I read stories like these or people talk of ghosts my eyes water like I'm crying.

this thread is giving me the heebie jeebies!

 

when I was about 5 my dad used to like me and my brother to sleep in the spare bedroom downstairs as he used to work nights and didnt want disturbing. the spare bedroom used to be an large outbuilding but was incorporated into the main house. so one night soon after we were put to bed it was still light outside but suddenly the room became overcast and really cold, then from right the other end of the room a small figure around 5 feet apeared and moved slowly towards me and my brother who shared a bed. the figure was really quite bright and i was trying to figure out what it was, untill i was that freaked out i dare not look anymore. so i covered my eyes and when i opened them a few seconds later the figure was gone.

 

my brother was looking too but he was a toddler and when i ask him he says he cant remember what happened

 

it was uber weird and it still puzzles me to this day.

Think if anyone doesn't believe maybe they should spend a while in my house.

 

I've seen a full blown shadow at the top of my stairs, when i got up thinking it was my boy getting out of bed after it was there for about 10 mins I went to look and as I got near the door it moved into my room, went up boy was in bed fasto. I looked in my room and nothing there.

 

Was sitting in the living room and a bouncy ball flew off the shelf, and I mean flew off the shelf and landed a foot away from me. It flew 10 feet. When it landed it didn't bounce....

 

My boy left one of his battery operated cars in the middle of the floor, sitting there watching tv it moved twice on the floor, both times about a foot. Me thinking it was something to do with battery's or interference from something I picked it up and looked at battery's, one of the battery's was back to front, and the switch was off, so I took them out and put it back on the floor. Some time later it moved again exept this time it shot off under the sofa and hit the wall.

 

I've seen and heard noises and the other half has heard some wierd things going on, we set up cameras a few times in the house and bed coverings moving was the most caught thing that happens.

 

It still happens now and we don't worry about it, no one has been hurt by anything strange and as one person said on here it's not the dead you need to worry about its the living.

I remember as a kid going out my room to go down stairs and get a drink at night and seen a tall dark figure with a cloke and top hat moving up the stairs thought it could of been a shadow of a family member at first but wasnt ,went straight back to my room never seen it again but always got the creaps if had to get up in night years after and try to convince my self it could of just been a shadow.

Seen what I would call evil spirits, not a ghost in the normal sense. They are absolutely horrific.

Plippy stayed round mine once. Went out for a few beers. Woke up in the middle of the night and swear i saw a weird presence in my bedroom, just standing in the door way groaning softly. In the morning I asked Plip if he'd seen anything and he said I probably just imagined it.

My few penneth. I never believed in ghosts although i did see something as a kid vaguely but others present at the time were convinced it was and still are, I am 35 now.

This was until i got married 5 years ago at a place called Branston hall near Lincoln. The wedding went fine until late afternoon when we were in the main hall drinking coffee an old lady dressed in white robes appeared and sort of glided/slid straight across the room and through a solid wall. I thought at first i was imagining things but 6 or 7 others, mainly older folk were just staring at same spot she went through looking in disbelief.

We stayed 3 nights in the honeymoon suite and heard further strange unexplainable things throughout.

Then we started getting wedding pics posted and emailed by friends. Nearly all contain orbs. Some from different cameras showing same ones in different positions, some with up to 15 in one pic, some with different forms also and the best one was outside the wedding room window on the first pics, then half inside the window and half out, then between window and curtain, then in the room. also noticed they are attracted to children, its the energy i presume. Also have some pics outdoors shortly after with one above my son in the garden.

I mentioned it to the staff and they go very quiet as it happens often.

The building is very old and has been used as a mental hospital in the past.

Doesnt bother me at all, i found it all very interesting really.
