I've got a small bin full of alcohol.

You can buy 5litres of it for €10 here.

Its meths without the colouring.

I soak kit overnight, clothes and ropes etc prior to washing.

I give my arms a scrub with a sponge soaked in the stuff too.

50c wash also does it for resin.

As niftysteve says.

Then a quick wash with washing (laundry) liquid and a rinse with soapy water to get all the detergents out. Very quick and effective. Can be a bu@@er if you get the white spirit in cuts though. If you do , just scream loudly till the pain subsides.
