Anyone got any clever ways of getting conifer resin off your hands and arms?

Scrubbing and normal soaps doesn't touch it. Solvents maybe? So

Something better?

Oil and sugar, no not sump oil! Baby oil, cooking oil or similar. If you use Avon SSS to ward of midges in summer that also helps to stop it sticking in first place:001_smile:

I've got a small bin full of alcohol.

You can buy 5litres of it for €10 here.

Its meths without the colouring.

I soak kit overnight, clothes and ropes etc prior to washing.

I give my arms a scrub with a sponge soaked in the stuff too.

50c wash also does it for resin.

As niftysteve says.

Then a quick wash with washing (laundry) liquid and a rinse with soapy water to get all the detergents out. Very quick and effective. Can be a bu@@er if you get the white spirit in cuts though. If you do , just scream loudly till the pain subsides.
