More of the same. Sun and sun and more sun. It's only rained once in the last two months. Could actually do with some now.

I love early mornings in mid summer. The mists over the lakes (which are very warm) as they react with the air (which can be very cold - actually had a light frost Friday morning) are incredible.

This was taken at 04:50 on Thursday. No filters on the photo:

May be an image of fog, twilight and lake

Just been over Harting Down with the dog .  " Lock down "  sky here . As I was returning to my truck the Spitfire came toward me from Goodwood . He did two loops ( one diving strait at me ) followed by a barrel roll and then straitened up and went off . It was like he did it just for me ! No one else around anyway . 😀

That's outstanding! Something to remember.

I am just back from a 95km bike ride and I saw both a red kite and an osprey. That was a real treat.

Freezing buggery bollocking cold North East wind that has been blowing for weeks now.  I thought I would take Daisy Etta, the old D7 out to level the tracks that have been beaten up with the appalling weather and traffic.  She started first time as usual, with the 1300cc twin cylinder petrol donkey.  A few blaps and then smooth, all 14 litres of it. Nothing much is going to argue with the two ton blade and the total twenty tons of metal!  Does a fantastic job with the blade angled, leaves it like a billiard table.

First track unfortunately straight into the wind so bollocks well and truly cooled!  Then down to the shelter of the log cabin.  The difference in temperature between two places on the farm less than half a mile apart is astounding!

Strange phenomenon happening currently. It's definitely not associated with a river or tap in any way, but there appears to be small droplets of fresh water just falling from the sky. Only thing I can think of is the end times are upon us...

Had similar occurrence here as well and a couple of loud rumbles but then nothing but stonking heat for the rest of the day.
