10 Year anniversary of the Twin Tower Attack

I can still remember exactly where I was when the first plane hit, I was up a cherry tree in a school quadrangle, I listen to radio 4 and there was a news flash.

It was an horrific day, one of the worst things was the thudding in the back ground as reports were speaking live from the scene, they told us it was people jumping and the thudding was them hitting the floor.

I don't know enough about any of the victims to feel I could even begin to judge them.

When I think of that day all I feel is sadness.

My son was a month old on that day, I saw the news break at the school I was working at and promptly went home to hold my son.

Whatever your views on the why's or wherefore's, 3'000 people is incomprehensible.

I will just keep my thoughts to myself on Sunday.

The loose change video is a good one. And certainly sparks thoughts and controversy. I was 10 when it happened and I remember coming home and my dad and a few others watching it on tv in the front room.

I'm in two minds on whether it was what the government say it is and whether the government planned it!

Looking at the pictures of how the pentagon was hit, the evidence there and for what it should be like is thought provoking.

But why would a government attack their own people on their own soil? So they can blame it on al-Qaeda and go looking for non-existent WMDs?

I'm still sympathetic to the innocent people who lost their lives nonetheless.

I will carry on as normal. This hasn't affected me too much tbh. It's really awful hearing stories about kids left with no dad etc, but will anyone here have a minutes silence for the tens of thousands of innocent civilians killed in Iraq and Afghanistan? No.

I don't get some people on here. We're all share a common bond in our work, but seeing some people's opinions, hatred for our allies and daft conspiracy theories aired on this forum, makes me realise different we all are. I will spare a thought for those who died in NY and be thankful I live in a free-country. Each to their own.
